This policy covers davidjacob.co.uk and everything we send you by email or text. We are David Jacob Consultancy Services Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15922034. You can reach us at david@leadhawks.co.uk.
What we collect
- Your name and email address, when you register for a training session, ask for a replay, or subscribe to a newsletter.
- Your mobile number, only when you type it in and tick the box asking for text reminders. It is optional, and leaving it out changes nothing else.
- Basic sign-up context, such as which link brought you to the page and when you signed up.
- Email engagement, such as whether an email was opened or a link clicked.
How we use it
- To send you the joining details and reminders for a session you registered for.
- To text you up to three reminders about that session, if you ticked the box.
- To send the recording afterwards, if you asked for it.
- To send a newsletter, only if you subscribed to one. Registering for a training session does not subscribe you.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of suppliers to run the service, and they may only act on our instructions: beehiiv (email), Twilio (text messages) and Vercel (website hosting). Your mobile number is passed to Twilio for the sole purpose of sending the reminders you asked for.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Mobile numbers are held only for the reminders of the session you registered for, and the queued messages are removed once the session has happened.
How to stop
- Email: every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Texts: in the US and Canada, reply STOP to any message. Elsewhere our reminders are sent from a name rather than a number and cannot receive replies, so email us and we will remove you the same day.
- Everything: email us and we will delete your details.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will act within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and counting visits
We do not run advertising trackers on these pages. The registration page stores a small flag in your browser so it does not show you the same prompt twice. It is cleared when you close the tab.
We count visits using Vercel Web Analytics, run by the company that hosts this site. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow you to other sites. It tells us how many people opened a page, roughly where in the world from, and whether anyone clicked the three buttons that matter to us: the Instagram one, the newsletter one, and the send button at the end of the measure. It never records your answers to the measure, and nothing it collects identifies you.
